Just got back from an amazing vacation on the island of Isla Mujeres. I have to say that this was one of the best photographic journeys I have ever had. The conditions were absolutely amazing. The whole 6 miles of the North coast is rugged, rocky and perfect for endless seascape photography. The water is warm and the clouds were amazing for sunset and sunrise everyday.
I did manage to kill my 50d on the coast by a soaker wave on the 4th day. Thank goodness Nikki had her 40d and let me use it for the last 2 days. This image was taken the morning after I killed my Canon. Nothing real special here. Didn't do alot of PP to this. On this morning I only had my Singh Ray 0.9 Reverse with me and no holder. The winds were crazy strong and the waves were huge. Which made it almost impossible to get a shot in before the water and salt were sprayed all over everything. So I probably only made about 10 images this morning before I gave up.
I thought after this image that Nikkis camera might be toast too. It was quite the adventure. Came back with more then 1000 RAW files to sift through but just wanted to get something up tonight.
Hope you are all doing well :)
