Twenty-eight ...the perfect number?

    Newer Older

    I found this rusty, tin barn in Waimea (on the Big Isle of Hawaii). While I went to get overall shots of this structure bathed in the morning, sunrise light (to come); it was the details of this barn that captured me... the rusty, faded, painted tin... a rusty lock and chain (to come)... and this number 28. I guess at one time there were several barns, and this was of course, the 28th barn.

    Get rustic...

    Funny though, 28 has always been one of my favorite numbers. Something I heard long ago about it is that it is the "perfect" number, because it is one of a few whose factors add up to itself.

    1, 2, 4, 7, 14 --> add 'em up and you get 28!

    I'm sure there's a Dan Brown novel in there somewhere, LOL!

    ** There seems to be a theme developing here... if you care to share, what were you doing at 28? (if you're old enough to have reached that age!)
