   I've always liked the railroad in Point Richmond. There's this symbiosis between the railroad and the community -- a bit false, if you think about it, because the symbiosis is with the adjacent oil refinery that is tied to the railroad. That said, I've always liked the sound of trains passing through town when staying with our friends in Point Richmond. It establishes a fundamental connection with the outside world.

   None of this has anything to do with the picture, of course, which is a quite marvelous example of composition and focus.

   I'm with DCVoyager... I grew up in a railroad town, and my father spent 40 years with the company. Love your perspective!
