purple and green in summer

    the neighbourhood jacarandas bloom in the late spring or early weeks of australian summer. for about two weeks, you can pin point where mature jacarandas grow, by the stunning purple blooms. then it is all over. and each becomes a lacy, fine-leafed shade tree again.
