Dancing with Electrons

Dancing with Electrons

This moment, around 2 AM on the morning of the 27th, represents, I think , the brightest formation of Auroral rays I've seen since last fall ... It only took a 3 sec. exposure to record this ... I probably missed the peak as I was struggling in the dark with frozen fingers to shorten the exposure time . Then, as if overdosing on solar electrons, my battery died ...
Anyway, this was very beautiful ... When I see bright pink tinged rays building higher and higher this way ... I begin to hear strain's of Bach's organ music in my skull ... It's like a celestial fugue ...

Cold Fire

Cold Fire

The new moon has set ... the twinkling unimaginably distant suns seem eclipsed by blazing emerald waves ...
The Sun's wind rules the night ..
Aurora, morning of Jan. 27.
