Seacliff reflections

Seacliff reflections

Hurrah got my laptop back and think my banding issues were caused more by my screen being on it's way out.

Well impressed with the laptop fix. £60 for the the screen and £40 labour and fixed within a day and a half..I thought it would be a new laptop..

This was meant to be a double exposure shot as after exposing for the sky I was going for the foreground when the water rushed in and I got wet and the shot came out blurred.

Was doing tuition with Scott Alexander www.flickr.com/photos/scott_alexander/6798209557/in/photo.... Sunset was looking promising but rain arrived to close the session.

Golden Nugget

Golden Nugget

Not had a great week as first the car packed in and now my laptop. The screen has gone and looking into a replacement.

Can hardly read my post but can see roughly what I am doing. So can't process any new shots just now

A shot taken at Cocklawburn Beach in Northumberland just as the sun started to rise and caught this big rock.

Apologies for the lack of comments recently but will be back in business once I get a replacement screen

St Mary's Dusk

St Mary's Dusk

Took a bit of a road trip into Northumberland over Xmas hols and finished up at St Mary's Lighthouse.

Conditions weren't very inspiring, but glad I have been here and worked the place out for one day when the conditions were better. I liked the comp in this shot, but just wished I had better light and colour. The foreground was not lit at all due the cliffs above and glad I managed to produce a shot.

Had banding issues with this shot, in the skies, but hopefully managed to remove through a variety of processes and not really sure what worked or didn't. So I appreciated everyones help in this problem :)

Bumped into another Flickr contact Graeme Campbell www.flickr.com/photos/gcfotographos/ so it was good to meet up. I seem to bump into other contacts in across Scotland and Northumberland on a random but regular basis.

Storm Front- Portencross - Colour

Storm Front- Portencross - Colour

The mono looked better in PS, but when uploaded it lost punch. Uploaded the colour version as well.

The Isle of Arran is somewhere behind that big cloud.

Storm Front- Portencross

Storm Front- Portencross

One taken just before Christmas down at my favourite haunt on the West Coast.

Liked that I managed to fit in the castle as well. It was very windy and rain was spitting as this massive cloud moved in.

Taken with the B&W ten stop and two exposures blended as didn't use a grad due to the spray and wind.

Got a colour version too that I am undecided about
