See You Later Butch (5263)

Butch and I talked about cameras, work, how the city has changed … we fit a lot into 20 minutes. But it eventually came to an end where it was time to go our separate ways. I took this last picture of him as he made his way up the sidewalk and thought to myself, what a nice man, I hope I run into him again someday.

Another shot of Butch

Yes, powerful shot even without your explanation. SO glad I found your photostream. (Or did you find mine?) No matter, it's a real treat to look through your pictures.

Amazing and sad, to see him go, using a walking aid, he should have a place to stay............homeless people are all over the world, in every country, but lots of them, have real sad stories to tell..............it can happen in a snap, so weird, we don't see it, but nevertheless........
    Thanks Karen!!

I think this officially falls into the category of photojournalism - these two photos are magnificent. really like the sign and the reflection of the pole in the water collecting on the sidewalk.

Incredible shot - the atmosphere and the explanation fit really well, and I am left wondering who Butch is and what his life is about. Superb work.
PS I just returned to the image and realized that the other Butch pic answers a lot of questions...!
