it's that time again...
off to italy this time. i guess this photo is slightly more interesting than the last one.
but the question is... will it get full of comments again?
i actually won't have internet for two whole weeks, so whatever does appear on this photo will be interesting to read when i get back.
bye for now =]

Comments and faves
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
well, I'm trying really hard to find something interesting to say as the first comment, but I can't :)
happy travels again :)

Day One: No crying yet, but I walked past the Triangle, and saw the spot where Luke's iPod was brutally taken from him, and then I had to fight back the tears.
(so I guess there will be at least 14 comments for a daily update)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
That'd be at least 15 comments with Mike's, then; or rather, 16, when you factor in the one I'm just on the verge of adding. ;p
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
hold back the tears nathan, or the pink handkerchief will darken unnecessarily :)
murdochious (72 months ago | reply)
please can someone explain the whole iPod thing? cos i havnt been told :(
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
from an IM yesterday...
"there's a big screen in manchester... and these long sort of "walls" where you can sit and watch the telly and we were all gathered round there... my bag was on my seat, along with my coat
but i got up from my seat... and later, a man sat down where i'd been sitting i was gonna ask him to move off my coat, but he seemed alright... so i let him be i looked at my bag after he'd left, and it was open... but i didnt think anything of it but then on the train... my iPod wasn't there :S"

...and the moral of the story is: Don't Trust Anybody :]
(except the police or a teacher or someone that wears pink)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Alas, teachers and policemen have also been known to betray their trusts. But pink-wearers, of course, never!
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
I'm not sure I can trust your assertion there, nathan. or can I ?
oh, and a big Hello (or Shalom Chaverah!) to Rachel, whenever she gets around to joining us.
Collinson [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
nathan, apparently you saw us in manchester. you shouldve come over. although, i think the shock of knowing youre a real person and not just a flickr person would have killed me.
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
laughoutloud, then I saved a life yesterday *gets special badge*
I actually remember seeing you first, as you were on the far left, and then panning to see Luke and then Murdoch :)
And yep. I'm actually a real boy. Pinocchio would be proud.
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Yes, but Pinocchio's nose was the part that grew.

derAmialtebloede is the dirtiest derAmialtebloede I have ever known :)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Yes, but luckily, I'm also the most esoteric and spiritual derAmialtebloede you've ever known, I'll wager. So it all evens out in the end! :D
Sam Starling (72 months ago | reply)
Oh my god
What's going on?
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
*bows in the presence of such a well balanced soul*
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
What's going on ... where? when? how? has there been another terrorist attack somewhere?
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
Oh, sorry, it was just a mirror :)
And Sam's note says "I <3 LUKE (Congratulations if you read this.)"
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Oh Nathan, how crass of you to give away all his secrets like that. I at least had the discretion simply to add a quiet note of acknowledgment, without trumpeting things from the rooftops.
murdochious (72 months ago | reply)
well done to nathan for finding out what it said, did you manage to do it without looking in the source? Cos i can't see how thats possible. Oh and also people, we must leave thousands of tags for luke too (remember to sign it with your name (like i didnt) too)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
The notes are published on the "Comments You've Made" page, so any note that's made AFTER you've made a comment and BEFORE you add another one is available there if you look.

derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Um, Peace to you, as well, Miss R.
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
hi rachel :) welcome to the party.
Rachel Rakes (72 months ago | reply)
:D *sigh* good to be back
and how are we all??
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Truly well depressed this time, realizing Luke will be gone for so long and we won't even know if he's been kidnapped by ants or, more likely, tarantulas.
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
Splendid. glad to see you're back safe and sound. have a good trip?
i just got back from a week in Seattle/San Juan Island visiting friends from university; I'm sure you'll review the photos at your leisure :)
Luke was kind enough to keep me company (virtually, of course) during a two-hour layover in Chicago, but I got the distinct impression that he thought I was the one keeping him company :)
Yes, he may be gone for a while, but his memory lives on, as we do... and as does the packing material from that luke doll, which I never threw away. hey, maybe tomorrow...
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
One can never have too many peanuts, after all...
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
and that is merely the tip of my peanut collection iceberg.
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
No wonder you need that place in the country.
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
indeed. no only does it house my styrofoam peanut collection (dating back at least three years), it also holds various gardening implements, rocks (as we grow them, you know, in Vermont), more rocks, and some rickety stairs up to where a previous owner kept hens which survived a misnamed "turkey-shoot" by some inebriated locals years ago. The chicken - as well as the previous owner - have since passed on, but their droppings remain.
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
But if it weren't for all the rocks, the entire NE USA would already be 2.5 fathoms under the surface of the Atlantic. No need to rush all that, after all. :D
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
It's becoming one of those comment strings...
I love it :)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
Yes, it's both "ace" and "random" - a fitting tribute to the absent be-<3-ed Lukemo.
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
Day Two: Well playing Ondra in Animal Crossing and a number of video chats (when chats means we type at each other, becuase *some* people have really loud AC) kept me occupied this afternoon.
That was until I remember that me and Luke like to video chat *sniffles begin*
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
does the AC follow him around from Prague?
*pats nathan, consolingly* never fear, he'll be back soon... too bad you'll be gone, though :(
Rachel Rakes (72 months ago | reply)
the trip was reaaaally good,
i am now super scuba diving expert a-go-go.
Yes.
Yes I am, i am i am!!
i don't even miss luke any more......................................... ....
For your information that was a lie. Apart from the scuba stuff.
Rachel Rakes (72 months ago | reply)
my god i just saw the tags!
the tags....THE TAAAGS!!!!!!!!!
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
Well that depends...
Maybe he'll be back before 10am, in which case we should hope he comes online and doesn't have a gayyy computer, and also hope that Machester Airport has Wi-Fi, or really hope that Singapore Airlines will give me free Wi-Fi
There's a lot of hoping involved, so get busy :)
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
glad to hear you had fun, Rachel, and are a scuba expert. Who's "Miss Luke"? or did I misread what you wrote?
Didn't he fly through Liverpool, Nathan? and I'm not how free wifi for you is relevant, but *shrugs* whatever. :) even if you (erm, your parents) have to pay, it'll be pretty cool!
murdochious (72 months ago | reply)
yes rachel THE TAGGSSSSSS!!!!
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
No, Mr. Mike.
My flight is at 10am, and so either Manchester Airport or Singapore Airlines are the only ways of me getting online :]
And THE TAGGSSSSS!!!! are little bit amazing(ggggggg).
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
ah, I wasn't sure as to which date you were referring.
now I understand: you won't miss him if you can get online somehow. :)
I wonder if we can get the tags to be as long as the comments.
ah, now that would be a challenge :)
nathan makan (72 months ago | reply)
Has everyone seen how cool Sam's note thing is.
It makes me all tingly :)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (72 months ago | reply)
It is indeed cool, Nathan. However, the tingling, I fear, is more likely simple hyperventilation.
Sam Starling (72 months ago | reply)
Haha I'm making people tingle, over the internets!
mikefranklin (72 months ago | reply)
I'd suspect hyperventilation or maybe a bit of poison, myself :)
mikefranklin (71 months ago | reply)
8 hours and no comments?
odd. :)
derAmialtebloede [deleted] (71 months ago | reply)
That's what poison does to one, Mike! Or perhaps we're all too busy just tingling away...
nathan makan (71 months ago | reply)
Day Three: Well, it might be too late for day three, but I just went to a party and had lots of Jack Daniels, and lots of Coke, and lots of ice, and lots of random kissing, and lots of ass grabbing and I'm a little bit drunken.
But I still managed to drink and text Luke in Italy at the same time.
He had pizza (I like pizza) and saw some American that looked like me.
/end of bad behaviour.
