My latest, Klickitat with Quinault. I've just got to get these paintings shot correctly and onto my website. This is visual chaos!

More visions of sugarplums dancing in my head. To heck with the sticky kitchen floor, today I paint!

Was it difficult to look at Quinault while painting? I've often wondered about that with the high contrast color work. It almost hurts to look at it on screen. Chinook is really nice too!

No, it's a 36"x36" canvas and I work fairly close. When It's a full-size canvas I don't have any trouble. Plus I've been working with close lines and vibrating colors for so many years that I don't see the vibration until I back off. And that's what I want in a painting, things to move on the surface.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm doing three versions of Chinook and I have two other paintings flowing around in my brain so I am really trying to move at the easel. But Flickr helps me get unstuck from the canvas for awhile.
