I had a really crazy week, last week. Things i find difficulty with were everywhere! Laying in wait like some kind of tests, ganging up on me. i made it to the weekend, in hopes of warm weather and a chance to get out and breathe...just me and my camera. Nope....not in God’s plan. I actually took it rather well, and told myself that if i am patient things will pay off. my weekend was filled with Lileigh and Noah....a quick shoot here at the house for my husband’s business, and a quick shoot of a house he did, that will be part of the ad. I have to get to processing now, so that they can make decisions on what they need to use. Oh yeah....and send him a bill! ;)
I just got back from the Firehouse....it was Pancake Breakfast Morning and having had 2 daughters that were on this fire department, i like to support them when i can....that , and Lileigh loves the firetrucks....and pancakes and scrambled eggs. Noah slept through it all....which made it a whole bunch easier for us all to eat, except that Lileigh Grace preferred to sit on my lap than in her own chair, so she could “help you”! help me fix my tea, and my eggs and pancake, after which she decided that my tea was a really good place to “dunk” her pancake as she ate it! It’s ok....she is my special bean after all! (we did watch Jonah again, early this morning....she is still adamant that Reginald is a horse, and let me know!!)
Off to work on the shots....and then i think i will sneak a few moments to play....for my own sanity, since i can’t believe tomorrow is monday already.....
enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Kim Klassen Beyond Layers Day 14
Had i known a long, LONG time ago that the only failure is not to try, i believe i would be soaring right now! The message here is not to let the fear of failure be victorious over what you want to achieve. Truly the only way to fail is to never try to spread your wings! :)
Thanks to all of my friends (that includes you Kim!) i am spreading my wings and learning to fly! i am proud of me!

I Present to You: The Queen of Selective Ignoring
©2012 Susan Ogden-All Rights Reserved Images Thruthelookingglass
If she does not WANT to hear what you are saying to her, she will totally ignore you.....you might as well be in East Jabib, talking to a grain of sand....She knows exactly what you are saying AND that it is directed toward her....but she will not acknowledge your presence. Switch gears and say “Do you want some M&M’s...?” and she hears you loud and clear....will stop what she is doing and head for the kitchen...and then when she hears the end of your sentence...”You can have some after i change your diaper!”, she knows she is trapped and will run and hide under the kitchen table!! Yes, she is perfecting the fine art of selective ignoring! I wonder how many phone calls my daughter will be getting from her teachers when she goes to school!!! It’s ok....i adore her UNCONDITIONALLY.....and she knows it!!!!

B&W HFF!
©2012 Susan Ogden-All Rights Reserved Images Thruthelookingglass
This one just seemed to be B&W to me.....so now it is.
I am singing the HOORAY IT’S FRIDAY song in my head, yes i know it is only Thursday night as i post this....and i had 2 days off this week to help my daughter. It still felt like the week was a month of monday’s! You would think there was about to be a full moon ....or a major weather event.....they have been so weird!! SO much whining and so many meltdowns, and blatant defiance when given instructions. (AND that’s just the teachers!!!! just kidding...altho we are pushing for a margarita bar as one of the play centers for the last 15 minutes of the day!!!) I am amazed that my 3 hour day there exhausts me more than a 10 hour day at my daughters house with an infant and 27 month old!
I decided not to cook tonight and went out for Thai food, after which i went to pick up a dog. A 4 year old Pug, named Trixie. In less than 15 minutes of having her in the house i regretted telling my daughter i would keep her until Sunday!!!! i seem to be allergic to her and i about lost what is left of my mind, with all the loud breathing and snorting happening, as she ran around my kitchen. My husband’s cousin needed to find a home for her. She is overwhelmed at the moment, with another dog (which is cat sized, no...i take that back....smaller than cat size) and 2 cats (1 dog sized!) in her condo. She works erratic hours and the Pug was left there when her daughter moved out. My daughter has been looking into getting a small dog for the Group Home (she is an Assistant Program Director, for ARC) she manages. The fellows that live there LOVE animals and are just over the moon when she brings her dog for visits. They want their own pet! This was the perfect opportunity to get Trixie a home with LOADS of attention and love....and my daughter says Trixie’s snoring will never even be noticed there!! LOL!!!
Yep...it has been a really long short week for me....i am SO looking forward to the weekend and a little piece of quiet of my very own! May your Friday be wonderful and lead you sweetly into a relaxing weekend doing SOMETHING you love!!!

Yay!! All Quiet on the Home-front!!

Progress of the best kind!! Things seem to be setting down with Noah and his tummy issues. After 2 visits with the Lactation Consultant, 2 different doctors, and a specialist, and finally a pediatric Oral Surgeon, things seem to be taking a turn for the better and Kaileigh can finally get some rest.
I stayed with them yesterday for the main purpose of letting my daughter get some sleep....the beans were WONDERFUL...save a few jealous outbursts from my sweet Lileigh Grace. Surprisingly not when i had to hold Noah...but when he was awake and LOOKING at something! She would immediately let me know that whatever it was he was looking at was hers!!! She cracks me up!
In the past 2 days i have watched JONAH (Veggie Tales) 5 times. I LOVE that video as much as Lileigh does! (for those of you unfamiliar, they are Christian stories (animated) with Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, and the humor in them is SO far over the kids heads, but the adults (or me!) find them SO VERY funny! We have a little thing going....Lileigh and i....as to whether Jonah is riding Reginald the Camel, or Reginald the Horse (It IS a camel!!). I will look at her and casually say “oh, look....there’s Reginald........the camel.” and she will shoot me a sideward glance and quietly say “horse”......and nothing else! this will go on until she begins to laugh....and then stand up and with a huge smile, scream at the top of her lungs “ H O R S E!!!!!!!!” and then i will stand up and scream “C A M E L!!!!!!” and we dissolve into a huge ball of giggles and hugs! I do SO love that bean!!
So....today i will head over there to help her out before i head into work so she can do some cleaning on the second floor of the house and throw in her laundry. Basically i am there to make sure the 2 beans are ok, while she is doing her obsessive compulsive tidying up. Yesterday afternoon, I got Noah to sleep, with a little rocking and bouncing.....and he stayed asleep for 5 whole hours!!!! We had to WAKE him up to eat dinner at 6pm!!! Yeah.....things are looking up!! :D
HAPPY FAUX FRIDAY, y’all!!
