Catherine, I just got my Nikon D70s today ;-) It's like x-mas, easter and birthday all rolled into one. I've been playing around with it all afternoon. Still need to learn plenty though!
Lara, I enjoyed playing around with the different shades here and I ike the shadows too.

Green on green pulled off expertly - but i just can't work out what the other thing (ie the not-asparagus) is in the shot. A leaf, a wierd fork or what?

DOF is the best asset of this picture. Try to play more with the subject using other angles and its placement. Ligthing is one major factor also... use a more dramtic ligthing to get the right mood :)

I like the tone, but I think slight brighter might be better
