They say that the Eurasian Crag Martin (Ptyonoprogne rupestris) stays in winter in some parts of Portugal and that's why we call them the winter swallows. I don't know if the four birds I saw today didn't leave to warmer countries. But it was the first time I saw them in Vilarinho das Furnas in Gerês and they make me feel happy!!! January goes on with lots of sun...
soon the other swallows will arrive, too!

I almost didn't see this bird, at first I thought it was a part of this tree... Is this one Short-toed Treecreeper,( Certhia brachydactyla)?
The photo isn't very good, but anyway I like it, because it was the first time I saw this bird...
