There are no longer trains in Cambodia*, for now at least, but there are plans, we understand.
In Battambang, the station is looking quite spiffy, but the tracks may need a bit of maintenance before rail travel can be resumed.

*except for the Bamboo Railway, which is great fun indeed.

her foot single room mist coat journey

Our one-night "homestay", arranged upon arriving in Vinh Long, left us with mixed emotions. We "guests"- all fifteen of us, how intimate - enjoyed an excellent meal, and excellent traveller conversation, but the family members themselves remained fleeting apparitions, going about their daily chores in shy, shadowed silence.

*and there is a reason for the odd title, I promise.
