Hello everyone. I had some time this evening to come by and check out your wonderful images. Hope you've been keeping well. I hope to be back on Flickr and catch up with all of you after our holiday weekend (so after the 20th).

This a new chippy that lives at our other property where we will build some day. He's very shy :)

Peanut managed to survive the harsh winter we had and he's looking very healthy. He looks well fed and his coat is shiny. He's been following me around the yard and eating from my hand and now my son's hand. Here he is during a preening session. The b/g is the foundation of my house. His den is just a few yards from there.

One of my favorite pastimes while in Florida is being in the company of the Sandhill Cranes. I don't know what it is that draws me to these gentle giants but I could, and have, spent countless hours enjoying their company. They never seem to mind my presence. I've become a bit of a craniac over the past couple of years ;)

Also known as the Arctic Redpoll they are more rare than the Common Redpoll. It is much whiter and has a shorter bill. They have all gone from here now and headed to their Arctic breeding grounds.
