Thank you for your comments everyone.
Photographs like this always seem to have an
untold story behind them don't they? I feel
the same way about this photograph as you do
drp. Greeny, you are certainly welcome to tag
along next time, but you live in Milwaukee...
so you'd better let me know when you'll be in
my neck of the woods. ;)
I can't remember how I found this wonderful
photo, but what I like is the beauty of the
light and the leaves of the tree contrasting
with the dingy old room. It's quite magical.
I already saw this picture when I wasn' t a
member yet, and I so love this serene view. The light coming through and the colours make
it all very beautiful
It looks almost like a window leading into a
magical, enchanted forest. As if you could
step into the light and you would see a
beautiful meadow of flowers and a path
leading into the trees beyond. Behind you
there would be only a wall of leaves with a
small dark opening.... impossible to find
later.

I love the light in this, and how the ivy has come to claim the house as it's own.
One has to wonder looking at these shots, who may have stood here many years ago looking out the same window, and what they might have been thinking.
Wonderful.

This is amazing. I think I might try to 3D model this scene.

If you'd like a larger version of the photograph for modeling purposes email me. I'd certainly like to see whatever you end up making.

Impresionante ventana. Se nota que la luz también forma parte de esa soledad. Congratulations.

Magical is the word. Sometimes a photograph is all about the feel. This shot is absolutely saturated with it.

I think this is my favorite of the exhibit. Timelessness is a hard thing to capture and you've certainly pulled it off here.
