Brand new 2

    This little one was about 4 hours old when I took her picture very red and bruised

    I have applied the same redness reduction here and a creamy skin softener

    I have left this in colour although TBH I prefer black and white for babies

    I will upload the original image so you can see a before

      After the ordeal of birth she's entitled to a few bruises and marks, but with the help of processing this has improved the image, well done. I do prefer babies in B&W and the other picture with the eyes open makes for a more engaging image.

      Thanks Trudie :) within the first 3 days its really very hard to get eyes open which is a shame but it really is not a photographic skill but pot luck. I had never actually thought about how daunting the world can be until I started photographing babies , I suppose in reality their world has been in the dark then suddenly they emerge in to strong artificial light , After 5 to 7 days the chances of them having eyes open is much better.
