Tagged by the lovely and talented Sarah; 10 things you might not know about me:

1. I'm having the hardest/busiest school year of my life. I'm ever-so-slowly learning to deal with the workload... but I'm afraid I'm forgetting how to use a camera in the process. I really hope to take photography up again in May. Going through old photos is making me nostalgic.

2. I unapologetically believe that The Sound of Music is the best movie that ever has been or ever will be filmed, and I watch it every year.

3. I love Kiwi accents more than I can describe.

4. I eat copious amounts of cereal every day, but I've never had it with milk.

5. I love collecting illustrations. And I love Pinterest, for that matter—I'm fiercely devoted to my boards, and yes, I've gone through every single image I've ever favourited on Flickr and Tumblr (over 5,000) to create them. I was super-inspired in the process, so it was well worth it! I think I need to stop and appreciate art more often, rather than just faving it and forgetting about it. I'm glad my OCD pinning tendencies have forced me to give creative work the attention it deserves.

6. I keep meaning to blog, even though I'm terrible at it—the idea of blogging keeps drawing me in, but I usually lack the time/initiative/inspiration to go through with it. I'll make a valiant attempt to take it up again this summer.

7. Last summer, I learned to pet bumble bees. I have my dad to thank for that skill... I had been terrified of them for most of my life, but once he made me get over my fear, I found them much less menacing than I'd thought. (I'm not responsible for any bee stings that result from people following my example. ;)

8. I really, really, really want to live in Newfoundland someday, even if for a few weeks. Although any place by the sea would make me just as happy.

9. I also really, really, really want to own goats. I think they're the cutest, happiest animals in the world, I talk about them altogether too often, and I could spend hours just watching them.

10. At bus stops/on buses, I tend to attract strangers who want to talk with me -- and, in most cases, tell me their life story (in a completely non-creepy way... well, except for two instances). I don't mind it at all; talking to strangers makes my day and hearing their stories is a privilege. But the funny thing is, I'm not particularly outgoing, I have mild social anxiety, and I am one of the least confident conversationalists you'll ever meet. I wonder if I have some outward quality that makes people want to strike up conversations with me -- whatever it is, I don't want to lose it. Or maybe this is just a testament to the society we live in, the fact that some people feel more comfortable confiding in strangers than in their friends. Either way, I find it heartwarming, bewildering, inspiring, and a bit amusing all at once.

Been so busy over the last few months that I haven't had time to upload anything from this September photoshoot. I miss Flickr... I'll be adding some of my favourites from this shoot over the next few weeks.
