Pointy Nest by Degree
This pattern can be continued outward forever, although if you're folding it, eventually the paper will collide with itself. There are 12° in this much of it.
Next is to show how this can be modified into Beth Johnson's original Nest pattern.

Pointy Nest Reverse
Modified from Beth Johnson's nest. This curvy radial shape seems so familiar but I can't put my finger on why...
It's a bit messy. It's the first semi-complicated thing I've folded in quite a while, and I did it completely unaided by robots!
Big hat tip to Beth, whose work I've found quite inspiring.
