Cheetah sprinting all out at Cheetah Run, Wild Animal Park. 1/1600 second and I couldn't freeze her. I was shooting 4.5 frames a second and only got the cheetah in this shot--which shouldn't be surprising, since she was covering over 16 yards every second. She did the 100 yards in under 6 seconds.

Secretary Bird (Sagittarius serpentarius)

This bird was not relying on the zoo-provided diet, we watched it stalking around, looking for prey in the grass. They stomp on the grass and will chase whatever they flush from hiding. It struck out a few times while we were watching, but came up empty every time. You can tell this is a juvenile bird because the patch around the eyes in a mature bird is red, not yellow.
