Crocheting With Hand Carved Hook

My first video taken with Flip camera. Crocheting with a hook I carved myself. The wood came from the big old Redwood tree that is beside the building where I work. Just go outside after a big wind and pick up likely looking sticks.

The long pink thing I'm working on is actually a test piece where I try out each of the hooks I'm working on as they near completion. Figure 3 or 4 rows for each hook I make. I've made about 20 hooks so far. Someday this might end up being a belt.

More videos to come on the techniques of carving, sanding and finishing the hooks.
