if the scanning lab hasn't become my second home, it is now
mom mailed me two of the several kodachrome filled carousels that were laying around in the basement of my godfather (with who i share the same name and zodiac sign). he used to travel a lot while working for ncr, so there are pictures from places like argentina, mexico & brasil.
they're all in delicious color & i'll be in the process of digitalizing them before fungus does more than what it has done. he didn't consider himself a photographer, but being a technical man, he certainly enjoyed owning this kind of gear (nikon f for the most) and putting it to use at every moment he could, documenting moments and composing them into the viewfinder.
so if this was something he enjoyed doing and made it happen, i feel i have the responsibility to continue and make it worth it. i don't know what this will lead to, i'm never certain about anything, and i'm pretty sure no one is, but there's a continuity to everything, just know when's your queue.
