This is a spider my arachnology TA specifically told me to collect ... but I was inside the park, so I just took pictures. Alas. Nevertheless, I found this fine specimen under a rock at night, near the Emigrant campsite. Pretty cool little spider.

Hey April, welcome to the world of Flickr! It was a pretty cool break. Every time I go to the desert I see something weird and new.

Death Valley in the Spring is really beautiful. The last time I visited, the wildflowers were absolutely spectacular... Tasty food for the numerous White-lined Sphinx moth caterpillars that were crawling about.
