101/365 - LP Face

Taken for the LP portraits group for Flickr Group Roulette

Ever since I stumbled upon an LP face group a few weeks ago I've been dying to do one of these shots. I picked up a few LP's at a local used book/music store last week so I was all set when FGR picked this as the group of the day. I liked the way it was looking but I thought it would be better without my hand holding up the LP so I experimented with a couple ideas. In the end I taped a baseball cap to the back of the LP and wore that adjusting here and there for the perfect position.

FYI: I have no idea who Leo Sayer is, I just liked the LP.

Explored: Highest position: 113 on Sunday, February 10, 2008

I have fond memories of Leo Sayer due to the Muppet Show. He was on there once. I love the Muppet Show. "You make me feel like dancing, I wanna dance the night away!"

This is a perfect, perfect fit. I love it.

Good to see someone knows who he is =)

I had originally thought not to include how I did it and see if anyone figured it out. But it's probably better I did, if only to avoid a photoshop scoff! In fact I started by taping it to my forehead but it was off balance and kept falling off. Then I saw my hat on a shelf and knew it would work.

No love for Manilow? ;p I did have a Dean Martin LP I thought of using but I didn't have a matching red jacket.

Pun oh so appreciated = )

      Thanks Everyone!
