the sunset was so pretty through the window. in the time it took for me to grab my camera and get outside, it had faded from bright pink to barely there orange.

at work, i decided i was going to cut out skirt pieces or make a stencil when i got home. he got off the bus with an empty space in his mouth, and all my plans shifted.

i wasn't expecting him to come into the kitchen and tell me he has two loose teeth. kind of figured he'd keep his baby teeth forever.

it killed me knowing the package was sitting by the back door the whole day. with the unplanned extra 30 minutes, i stopped by the house to put the book in the car so at least it was near me, even if i couldn't read it for another couple of hours.
