wal-mart
Abandoned Wal-Mart in South Edmonton Common. They originally moved into Heritage Mall and helped to kill it off after they moved to South Edmonton Common, where they were for 7 or so years.
This fall a new Super Wal*Mart opened a bit further south of South Edmonton Common. This one sits eerily abandoned, save for the parking lot, which teens learning to drive use as training grounds.

Aww...lonely Wal-Mart. You're right, it is eerie. The Wal-mart near my house is busy at all times of the day/week/year.

this looks exactly like one in Toronto (which has since been torn down), with the exact same story

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called They sold for less: Vacant Wal-Marts, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Funny, I was thinking this was a Lowe's home improvement store that had been converted into a Wal-Mart, till I read the description on this pic! Feels appropriate to me that now it's become a training driving course, so to speak.
I always found it funny that an abandoned Kmart near where I live became a regular place for a group of Indians/Pakistanis to play cricket for several years, till Target opened a store on that site.
