I heard, and then found this hole in a lake near home in Pa - that leaf was doomed

@disdatmac; the hole is like a sweeper keeping the lake surface free from flotsam
@noel*leone; I assume you mean that you never see excess water going down the overflows to places unknown as you have little to start off with. As i write this, we have lots of excess water today out in the Philly burbs that would make a californian cry - for mutiple reasons. The worse part, its coming down in excess of what the streams / gutters / drains can handle
@musicarver; As it got closer to the hole, the current was faster and it was all I could do to get that shot to show its fellow leaves the valiant struggle it put up to the end. I had a shot of it tipping over the edge (the D80 and its 3 shots per second when holding the button down), but this is a family group and the photo could be disturbing to some leaf lovers out there .. :-)
