    Most people think of kelp as the stinky stuff that washes up on the beach after a storm, but underwater is it quite beautiful. This was taken during the day with a single strobe at an oblique angle. A fast shutter was used to force the background to near black. The strobe creates the golden color and highlights the texture.

      I didn't realise I had picked this one before - at least I'm consistent. I just love your stream of underwater photography, which I must admit I know very little about. I have a housing for my Canon G7 but the shot's I get are purely amateurish happy snaps comapred to yours.
