Eugene Atget by Berenice Abbott (1927)
American photographer Berenice Abbott took this picture of Eugene Atget in her studio in Paris, one of just a handful she took that day. They are the only known portraits of Atget, one of the greatest photographers in history. He died a few weeks after the sitting.
