When S is in town I don't spend much time in this room. In the evenings, I hang out downstairs at the kitchen table until late talking to him, helping him through things. But when he is gone, I can't wait to get to this space as soon as the boys are in bed. I curl up with my book, currently One Thousand White Women, or a movie, cozy under two quilts + the comforter. Sometimes there is a glass of wine there on the table, like there is tonight. Yes, this is my spot.

So cheerful! I don't really have a spot of my own these days, with our little one still so little (maybe the shower!), but there are lots of happy cheerful spots we share together. These chilly winter days it's mostly in our comfy chair by the wood stove in the kitchen.

When my husband use to travel, I couldn't wait to get to my bedroom. I would bring my book, watch chick flicks and knit. He's home now and it doesn't happen as much anymore, which is a good thing,,,we missed him.

i love it - very cheerful.
i'd have to say my bed is also my spot.
especially on nights when the kids
stay at the grandparents'...i can't get
there fast enough with a book in hand.
