Nordique. Soir. Parapluie. by [Zakkalicious / Mikael].

The melancholy grainy moods of a Nordic winter evening. I particularly like her ultra-grainy shadow, desperately trying to exist despite the low light. And the green vegetables in her bag, so eager to be green in the night.

Interestingly, the word umbrella orginates from the Latin 'umbella', or "sunshade, parasol". That, it turn is derived from 'umbra', meaning "shade, shadow". So the umbrella was originally devised to provide shade from the sun [or the haunting glare of nighttime streetlights].

i use the time-tested PSB technique

the camera is a slave to my desires.
i only adjusted the photo a bit - the contrast

the grains are always there. they're like fairies. you just don't see them if you don't believe in them.
