Teapot Bike Bell

Wonderful pattern. More for the ladies than the men, but lovely all the same.
Pull here to alert other cyclists and/or cars to your whereabouts or just to issue a friendly warning.
A typical Danish bike basket. Mostly associated with female riders.
One of the bike sheds at our flat. We have four of them. Each with space for roughly 20 bikes. Covered and with automatic sensors which turn the lights on when you arrive.
Clip your bike light onto the everready clip thingy here.
gold? :-)
I love this!!

Teapot Bike Bell by [Zakkalicious / Mikael].
When you live in a true bike culture, you don't give a damn about the latest gear with names like "Trail Ripper X2000" or "Aerodynamic Graphite Nuclear Toe Clips" or "Lyrcamatic Bike Shorts from NASA".

Au contraire. You opt for bike bells shaped like teapots and stylish hand grips. Bike bells are required on bikes in Copenhagen according to the traffic laws, so why not personalise them.

Now that is a very cool look. It has a kind of kitchen theme. Very sleek in black and orange/ yellow.

A few places sell them here in Denmark.
Ironically, I found them on a Canadian kids bikes website...
www.sportwheels.ca/kidsbikeshop/kidsbikeshop. html
You should be able to order them there.

You know, I am so very jealous of you living in such a bicycle friendly society... There are groups here trying their best to change the attitudes that prevail, but it is difficult and I am afraid it will take more years than I have left. I do so enjoy your photos tho.... even if I am jealous....

Thanks for your comment, RobertN. I, too, hope that other countries get on board.
It has taken 40 years to build our bike culture up to the levels we enjoy today... but if you build it, they will come.

Very cool, Zakka. I'd choose one of these over some fancy gear any day.

skvidal: I found them online at a shop out of Kalamazoo, Mich!

That's fabulous! I love it! I have a similar shot that I took here in Toronto but I have to get the film developed. The "body" of the teapot is silver instead of black though. :-)

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Does this Ring a Bell?, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

You know, it's a pretty good bell too. I've had one on my bike for several years now and it has a nice ring and is just a flick of the thumb. Pretty durable for all that also.
