Spirit Island on Maligne Lake

Bald Eagle Junior

This young bald eagle (hatched in the spring) and his two siblings live in a huge nest on our land. I watched two of them take off leaving only this one behind. I'm guessing this one hasn't flown yet. I read that it's very rare for all three chicks to fly and leave the nest (not sure why).
