'Clowes Gate Bridge'
Close Gate Bridge is a packhorse bridge, part of the trans-pennine overland route leading towards Clowes Moor then Rochdale from Marsden. It dates back to the 17th or 18th century and declined in use since the construction of canals and railways.

REEPS HIGHWAY (also known as Rapes Highway)
This packhorse road follows a steep gradient down from Clowes Moor to Clowes Gate Bridge - a packhorse bridge dating back to the 17th or 18th centuries (now often known as Close Gate Bridge). The road links Rochdale and Marsden.

Well, I have been here many times over the years but only photographed it on a couple of occasions.
