There is more than a hint of Fall in the air. It's early, and very welcome this year.. Lows in the high 50's at night - perfect for sitting and waiting for hummingbirds to test the feeders again. I was caught unprepared last weekend when the first one showed up and promptly turned his nose up at the unfilled and rather dirty feeders that had languished under the edge of the gazebo.. But I'm ready now, if he should make another visit, with all sorts of bright colorful things to catch his eye.
The gazebo has taken on quite a bit of character this summer, with new wind chimes and crystals and lots and lots of new plants. With the new ceiling fan running, and the lights to cheer the whole thing up, we have really enjoyed the patio much more than we ever have. And now with the new fence, even Kuhjo gets to come out and enjoy the evenings..
It's a wee bit of a Shangri-La in our back yard, is what it is.. Best place I know to share a glass of Moscato d' Asti - or two..
