Karen: I've always been able to find a way to
stretch my limits to a certain extent. In
fact, in their own way, each photo that is
posted on my folio is a branch of my loving
life. Either way, in whichever it is
stretched, it begins to feed off of itself,
like the moving grounds next to quicksand. I
come from the center of sleep! Where
everything is always awake...
Wow. I don't take this for granted: If ever I feel a grey cloud over my head, all
I need to do is come to visit the unstoppable
DerrickT. His folio is alive, glowy,
mysterious, thought provoking to a
magnanimous degree and always, always smile
worthy!
I mean, really... try to not smile when
visiting this delightful folio! Try, I say!
It can't be done. And how fortunate that
during my little grey period, there have been
new uploads to visit and ponder and get lost
in.
You are the bright star in the Flickr sky and
Flickr would not be so joyous, without you in
it... Love you through and through dear
Derrick! Thank you for your limitless
talent, creativity and radiance.
ultraviolets note made me laugh out loud - i
was just going to do the same myself!
yes, very sci-fi mister T, it could also be
the thin end of a diving board if you try
hard enough:) i love these toy camera images, so unlike the
stereotypical shots, they seem to enable you
to embrace that Rod Serling element - i can
picture your films now, a delectable
(con)fusion of
sci-fi-gothic-derrick-klaatu-uncle included
here and there and that wishywashy black fly. i can even hear the fuzzes and pops, the
clang twangs and zither-hops of the
soundtrack.
Ann, you never fail to leave me with such
positive glows and a bright, bright(er) glow
blazing from my visage. A speaker-box of
love, a fine collection of words from the
princess herself! I'm forever grateful! Must
I come parachute down into your home and give
you hug?! :) You rule, seriously. Your praise
is almost overwhelming in a way, but oh-so
flattering as always! :)
ultraviolet: Ha! I love the note you added!
Your comments are always nice and welcome as
well! :)
Lou: You now have me wanting to go watch The Pawnbroker...
Ha! The diving board towards a euphemism that
decided to smile. Quite a larger union, don't
you think? :)
I like your take on how my films would be. I
think I wish and long to make motion-pictures
more-so than photography. I think there's so
much to be shown, either in a short film or
long film, of moving images, all telling a
story, or the organization of cells of a
foreign body. The soundtrack, ah yes. Perhaps
you'll add some vocals as well? :) ...Thanks,
magic!
hobbesken: Thank you, thank you! I'm really
happy that you enjoy this. :)
thanks for that, im frequently cruising the
IMDb! i saw the film many years ago, but
unfortunately cannot recall it too well,
although i know i was impressed - what a guy,
i adore rod steiger:)
yoshi: I say definitely shoot for the maybe's
and the possibly's! There is always a level
of formidable sensibilities that come out of
them...somehow, someway. It's almost
like...the lower the "percentage",
the better the ratio.
Yes, Solaris! I never liked the re-make of
it, but would rather stick with Tarkovsky's
masterpiece, although I didn't find that the
re-make was horrible or anything like that, I
would just prefer the original.
Thanks, as always, for the comments! :)
Lou-magic: You're quite welcome! I was
thinking that you had probably seen it, but
it had probably been a long time ago so it
had become a bit vague. I'd suggest getting
the DVD if you can!
Ah yes, The Illustrated Man!! Wow to that! Rod Steiger is one of the
most underrated great actors of all-time, in
my opinion!
Good to see that you made your way back to
this one, Lou-magic! Thank you, thank you.
*_* <------------- I am pulling one out of
your hats now. :)
They tread this moments precipace, the
horizon split as liquid grey gave over to
bright telegraphs.
Thanks for posting in Broken Mirror - very
dreamlike, enigmatic. We are a speck in our
own future, dirt set loose from our eye
creating a vision of ourselves on the plains
of time.
My own tongue has thickened, fighting to find
words as it basks under your pachyglossal
sky. A diving board my eye also sees, a
launching point for the beyond beyond. And
there is we, manandwomankind, as ultraviolet
notes; sizing up our high dive into the ashen
infinite. It's time to plunge.
