Lycian kings tombs taken from the Dalyan river in 2008, (max zoom with my little P&S)! Some tombs have two exterior columns and massive doors which are decorated with reliefs depicting the main events of the period, the burial chambers were carved into the mountains. Inside the deceased were laid out and gifts left on plain stone couches. Many of the tombs have illustrations of Bellerophon killing the three-headed, flame-throwing dragon Chimaira, assisted by his winged-horse Pegasus.
The tombs were discovered in the 18th century and most date back to the 4th century, some from 1000 BC. In some regions there are over 2000 rock tombs.
