HMS Glowworm

on 8 April 1940, the British Destroyer "Glowworm was sunk by the artillery fire of the German heavy cruiser Admiral hipper in the North Sea in the area of Narvik (Norway), after the unequal battlle the German Cruiser, inflicting damage. During this battle the Commander destroyers Lieutenant Commander G.B. Roop first during the second world war was awarded the Victoria (posthumous).

A photograph through the optics rangefinder, visible to sailors who are on the Admiear Hipper , . 1 Officer and 37 sailors from the crew of the Gloworm were picked up by "Admiral Hipper.
