A WARM WELOCME

A WARM WELOCME

My first images for 2012. As custom dictates, I wanted to take my first photo of the year out in the sea. In 2011 it was in Subic, Triboa Mangorve Park. This time in Zambales after an impromptu invite from Mark Pedregosa. This was also the first I was able to use my new 82mm filters and Lee Holder.

"START OF A GOOD YEAR"

This abandoned jetty was an unfinished structure, this reminded me of the old Japanese port of Silay in Negros. The weather was perfect for sunset. I wanted to include a star trail shoot for this event but low flying cumulus clouds covered the sky in the evening.

Into a New Light

Into a New Light

The last sunset of 2011 signifies a mark of a wonderful year. It has been a roller coaster ride. So many trials were given and so many blessings received. I was given another child that Im really thankful. I am glad to have this medium to meet new friends and also impart new learning.

UNDERNEATH IT ALL

UNDERNEATH IT ALL

This was taken in Rio Vista, CA. An abundance of windmills in the location. Taking shots like these are quite difficult. Minimum of 2 hours standing and waiting.

ADRENALINE RUSH

ADRENALINE RUSH

Once the sun was nearing the horizon, I moved in towards the Golden Gate. With almost a kilometer of walk, I stopped at this area and just stared at how light and waves played. Sometimes the iconic element must wait, since the most iconic would the LIGHT.

GOLDEN ROBE

GOLDEN ROBE

Last September, I made sure during my visit in Norther California that I would be able visit San Francisco again. In 2010 I was there and was able to shoot it at Baker beach.

This year however, I wanted to shoot at a proximate place and learned about Marshall Beach. I was really excited to shoot this place again, to my dissapointment the trail leading there was closed due to renovations. Being only there for a few days I braved an alternate trail.

These are my shots of the place.
