Angels Gate Pool electrical panel

The Angels Gate pool has been out of service for over 20 years. Originally built as part of the military facilities, it was briefly used by the community after the Army gave the property to the City of Los Angeles. It was taken out of service due to the danger that the crumbling retaining walls that support the hillside might give way and that the weight of water in the pool would "break the camel's back" causing the pool to slide down the hill.
Until recently the pool was surrounded by a series of small buildings that served as chagning rooms, showers and bathrooms for users. The buildings had started to fall down, and had become a welcome mat to transients and various unsavoury activities, so the Recreation and Parks department pulled them down. Until about a year ago, the pool was relatively free of graffiti, only recently has it become a popular spot.
