A Short Review Of iPhone XR
IPhone XR is in the market with a slogan of being £250 cheaper than iPhone XS. It comes with a colorful body and slightly larger screen. With these apparent qualities, you may wonder if it is the right thing to buy.
The prices of iPhone XS and XS Max are £999 and £1,099 respectively. The price difference of £250 XR and XS may seem huge but still you may not call iPhone XS a cheaper phone.
Apart from the fact that iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch screen as compared to XS which has a screen of 5.8 inches, this phone does offer some features which are different.
The 6.1-inch LCD is quite colorful and manages to offer great display when you view it from different angles. However, its display is not as brilliant as what you can get through OLED of other top iPhones.
Since the bezels of this phone are noticeably larger, it looks quite smaller just like XR. The body of this phone consists of aluminum and glass. It doesn’t have stainless steel, which means that it is going to provide better grip on its body.
Larger bezels and increased size of the screen make the XR a wider phone as compared to the many ones available in the market. However, it is 1.7 mm narrower than XS MAX. Therefore, if you struggle with the smaller sets, XR is one of the right solutions you can go for.
IPhone XR uses the same A12 Bionic chip which is used in the XS and XS Max. However, it comes with smaller RAM, 3GB, as compared to what’s used in XS and XS Max, 4GB.
When it comes to day-to-day performance, XR offers almost the same smoothness as what is available with XS. However, there is going to be a problem for the ones interested in mobile gaming because smaller #RAM of XR may not be able to provide greater relief in this scenario. Still, the normal functions are going to be smoother.
Battery life of XR is longer as compared to XS and XS Max. Both XS and XS Max stay charged for 24 and 27 hours respectively. On the other hand, XR was found to have a battery life of 32 hours.
IPhone XR comes with IOS12
which is also used by XS and XS Max. It means that this set is going to provide the same software tools that you can use in XS and XS Max. The only thing different in terms of software is the lack of 3D in XR.
IPhone XR comes with the same 12 megapixel camera which is used in the XS but it doesn’t have the 2X telephoto camera. However, the overall quality of the images you take from XR is going to be the same as that offered by XS.2 Selfie camera is identical to the one featured in XS. However, the selfie pictures are not going to be much detail-rich.
The very first thing that you are going to think about the XR is its price which is £250 than that of XS. However, you are definitely not going to term this smartphone a cheaper one with a price of £749.
If you are an iPhone lover, you are surely going to find XR loaded with almost every feature which makes the XS a best smartphone. However, you may not find it pretty luxurious phone. If you are looking for more info, check out this iPhone XR Review
