Pigeon tracks in the snow on my balcony. I used a couple of iPhone photo apps to enhance and embelish this image. The idea was to turn a relatively ordinary image into something a little more interesting. I really have to get out more!

The early morning light wasn't enough to motivate me to get out of bed, but I did have enough energy to roll over and take this HDR image with my iPhone/alarm clock! Just a little bit of editing to sharpen and center the antique chair with a crop,

Freezing rain is just about the worst thing that winter weather can produce. It's incredibly treacherous and can be very destructive. Ah, but there's always a silver lining . . . a sunny day after the storm, to send sparkles of light everywhere.
This image is one of two that I chose to use for Christmas/New Year's cards this year :-)

A classic bit of 'Canadiana' . . . the pick-up pond hockey game. This one took place on the frozen surface of Brown's Inlet in the Glebe, in Ottawa. I decided to turn it into a black & white image and posterize it somewhat to create more contrast. It's another one of the images that I chose to use for Christmas/New Year's cards this year :-)
