Carlos "Kid" Loya. I met this very interesting man in San Francisco a couple of years back. He is an old time boxer, a welterweight from 1961 - 1966 won 12 (KO 7) + lost 11 (KO 6) + drawn 0 = 23. Was friends with Jack Dempsey, and damn proud of it too. That is Carlos with Jack in the photo he is holding. Carlos carried those photo with him as if they were solid Gold, and Gold they are.

I search for these old men and women of wisdom. They are here, but oh......getting so goddamn hard to find. We just need to stop and give them a minute, a little time that you can spend. Thanks so much for your time Carlos.
