I laid the hank of yarn on a large piece of
white fabric draped under and behind the
yarn. I did this in my back yard in the
shade, but there are also lightboxes you can purchase or lighting set-ups you can do yourself to take indoors
pictures. I do plan to do this; just haven't
bought the materials yet. (Note: I do
understand that buying the right light bulb,
from a photo manufacturer, is important).
