A misty morning with a Flickr group.

I had so desperately wanted to get a shot like this but really speaking needed a camera better suited to night time shooting and my little Canon G11 Powershot although it tried hard was not quite up to the test. However with a little help from noise ninja the image is just about acceptable (I must have a look to see if I saved a raw image version*, to see if I can do any better). I think NN lost too much detail in the pagoda I must try again.
Anyway here it is.

It's the old saying, 'You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!'

*I checked, no RAW image I shot in night time mode which automatically shuts off the raw setting. Guess I'll just have to go back and do it again! LOL

I don't like the new G1X as it's too heavy for what I want.

Inside out makizushi covered with lumpfish roe eggs and chives

After having climbed for quite a while through the torii gates and then up through the shrines I found myself by this lake. I guess I could have ventured further but decided I had gone as far as I wanted.
It's just as well I descended when I did as it rained torrentially later on.
On the left behind the vermillion fence are many shrines dedicated to the fox gods.
