For Me Again Monday's theme "Something Old".

My sweet Smith Corona Empire, designed by Hermes as the travellers typewriter in the late 50s/early 60s.
No apps - makes me smile though.

Old tools can still help get the word out.

It makes me smile, too. Love the post work, Elizabeth. And just the idea of you tapping happily along on the machine has me grinning. Especially that final ding.

Me too. When I was a kid I used to spend hours clicking away on my Dad's old Royal (which sadly he got rid as soon as I stopped clicking on it). I think that's why I still have such a fondness for them. I'd love to have one converted into a computer keyboard.
Hmmm. There have been cases enough over a seriously bizarre last week - too many! I'm afraid to turn the news anymore.
Actually, this one isn't getting the word out too efficiently - no ribbon, ha ha. (I'm working on it).
But sadly, when the ding comes there's a little issue of the missing return carriage. It's in the case, just have to get it affixed again - you get what you pay for at the antique market, and apparently $10 means a bit of DIY when you get it home, ha ha.
