never leave home without your micro lens

never leave home without your micro lens

This is the first frog I ever photographed and unfortunately for me, I photographed it with my wide angle lens and as you can guess, the image is heavily cropped.

Yes, I actually went out without my micro lens and I could have kicked myself!!
(tried to identify the frog but with no luck)

Australian Grebe - Tachybaptus novaehollandiae

Australian Grebe - Tachybaptus novaehollandiae

Photographing this grebe was the most uncomfortable experience for I was laying flat on the ground and that is why the grebe got as close as it did but laying flat on the ground and looking through the viewfinder of the camera has it's disadvantages for I got one hell of a sore neck and my glasses kept getting smudged and at the end I took them off which made focusing an interesting but not recommended experience.

I wonder if birds enjoy the sunsets just as much as I enjoyed it earlier in the evening...
