It looks like a good business opportunity for someone to sort out all this wiring and take it underground. According to our guide, that is being done in some areas, slowly but surely. I'm not sure what they all are but I would imagine phone and television. I'll take the apartment on the top level of the building as opposed the the one with the view of the cable rat's nest. Thang told us the skinny buildings in this area are a result of many Viet Cong veterans being awarded a small plot of land by the government, after the war. The three levels would be the business on the ground floor, one level to rent out and one for the family. I suspect Vietnamese like skinny buildings as they are everywhere.
