Do you have advent calendars in your country?
This is what this year's advent calendar for my son Daniel looks like,
crafted by my humble self ;)
I'm wondering if there is anything like that in other countries around
the world, or if this is a typical German tradition...
Show me yours, if you like :o)

We have advent calendars in America, but the only ones I've seen are usually made of cardboard, and have little "windows" or similar to open to reveal a picture behind it as the count down to Xmas progresses.
I don't have any to show, kids long gong with kids of their own. But when I did, I purchased them, even though I am an artsy-crafty sort of person.

ditto wind_dancer -- i think, in America, they are seen as a quaint, "european" tradition -- your's is much cooler! lucky son :)

I live in the USA and I have never seen anything like that before. I think it's really cool though. I wish we had that tradition.
