I agree with Sue. There's a bit too much dark area in the picture. A crop would really make the branches stand out more.

Karen: Yes, I agree, but I think I'd like to bring out the texture of the orange clouds. The original file is in Whitby, so I'll try it when I go out there next time and either post it or send you the results.
Pearl: My mother's balcony faces west, and in Whitby the Oak Ridges to the north seem to generate a lot of eccentric action in the sky. Sunsets, I think, are mostly just a matter of luck - and, apparently, cropping :-)

I enjoy all the dark that makes those orange clouds stand out, I like it as it is. The crop would be nice, but I think it would add a lot of noise.

I love the as it pic..please no cropping here. The darkness around makes the orange of the sun a beautiful focal point. Absolutely ravishing.
