Another older image today. This was taken near Mattawa, in north-eastern Ontario, as part of media collection for that forest project I was involved in a few years back. As we made our way from the cabins to the trail we were documenting that day, there was a wonderful mist coming off the lakes and rivers we passed on the way. Scenes like this make me long for access to a canoe.
The area of Sweden I live in has a 60 km hiking trail that winds its way throughout the entire region. Along the way are these open "cabins" to spend the night, raised off the ground and stocked with dry wood, often in scenic spots. This is one three of us stayed in outside Bovallstrand on an overnight hike about a year ago just before sunset.
